The Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA) is pleased to support the participation of Marta Nowakowska-Desplantes in the ANA IBRO-PERC Cajal Course “Cancer Neuroscience”, held from 22 September to 11 October 2025. ANA awarded a grant covering half of the course expenses, enabling Marta to take part in this prestigious training.

Marta, recently awarded a postdoctoral project on the electrical modulation of glioblastoma progression, described the course as an ideal introduction to a new research field. Over three weeks, she attended lectures by leading experts, including Brain Prize winner Prof. Frank Winkler, and gained hands-on experience with methodologies directly relevant to her project. The course also offered valuable networking opportunities, fostering professional connections and lasting friendships.
